A HYSTERICAL "Coming of Middle-Aged" Comedy

*National Touring Comedian Peter J. Fogel Brings the Laughs with his New Show:

New Banner

Award-winning comedian Peter J. Fogel (Star of the one-man show Til Death Do Us Part… You First!)  is back with his newest one-man stand-up comedy show, STILL ROCKIN’… As Long As I’m In Bed by 9 PM!

A hysterical mix of stand-up, storytelling, and boomer-approved humor, Fogel takes audiences on a laugh-filled journey through the trials of aging while proving you can still “rock” — even if you’re rocking in a recliner.

With razor-sharp wit and relatable observations, Fogel explores everything from the mysteries of modern technology to the aches and pains of middle age, reminding audiences that life’s punchlines keep getting better with age. His high-energy performance has been delighting crowds nationwide, leaving them nodding in recognition and doubled over in laughter.

In the 60’s and 70’s —- we had rotary phones, leisure suits, GI-Joe action figures, 8-tracks, and we even rode bikes without Helmets. Yes, Baby Boomers survived the ’60s and ’70s without GPSs, voicemail, and texting!

From the trials and tribulations of modern technology to the aches and pains that arrive uninvited– to getting your AARP discount, Fogel mines comedy gold from everyday moments of middle age and beyond.

This Funnyman shows his audience that while the world keeps moving fast, boomers can still keep pace — once their WIFI stops buffering!

Back in my day, we didn’t have GPS. We had a giant paper map that unfolded to the size of a bedsheet… and once you opened it, you never folded it the same way again.”

I am at the age now where I want to help the environment. I don’t even buy toilet paper anymore… I just use my receipts from CVS Drugs!”

STILL ROCKIN’ is a show for anyone who’s ever groaned when bending down, complained about “kids these days,” or proudly declared that 9 PM is way past their bedtime.

Whether you’re a boomer yourself or know one, STILL ROCKIN’… as long as I’m in Bed by 9 PM! is the ultimate night out — packed with nostalgia, hilarity, and a gentle reminder that bedtime is negotiable when the laughs are this good.

STILL ROCKIN’ a Millennial-Free Show!

Funnyman Fogel lowers the Boom(er) at A.C.T.

Peter Fogel brought his show “’Til Death
Do Us Part …You First!” to the Treasure
Coast a few years ago (think COVID) and it
was a big hit. Now, the standup comedian
returns with his Boomer Humor Comedy
Tour at A.C.T. Studio Theatre in Stuart on
July 26. If you remember rotary phones,
pronouns, leisure suits, G.I. Joe, and a host
of bygone and often lamented fixtures of
our lives, this show is for you.
I caught up with Fogel recently to talk
about his evolution from a guy where rela
tionships start and end quickly to one who
is up half the night, and not in a good way.
“My show is pure standup, not a one
man theatrical show,” he said. “I identify
as an angry, senior-aged man who has to
pee five times a night. Sometimes I get out
of bed. I’m in a relationship with a Finnish
Gen X-er. She’s my lover and future caregiv
er. She gets the gist because her parents are
only a few years older; they’re the same age
as my older siblings.”
Fogel said that his show is interactive,
with audience participation invited.
“They respond if they’re awake,” he said.
“I tell them to catch Peter’s show while he
still has his faculties.”
For those who may not know Fogel’s back
story, it goes back, in a roundabout way, to

Robert DeNiro. DeNiro discovered Acade
my Award nominee Chazz Palminteri, who
went on to create “A Bronx Tale.” Palminteri
saw Fogel in his “’Til Death Do Us Part …
You First!” show in Florida, where he now
lives. Paying it forward, when Fogel said he
was looking for a director, Palminteri paid it
forward, and said “You’ve got one.”
Fogel also spent a decade on the road,
as the national touring star of another one
man show, Steve Solomon’s “My Mother’s
Italian, My Father’s Jewish, and I’m in Ther
apy.” He is also a voice-over artist and does a
variety of voices, both male and female.

For this show, Fogel said he is “regentri
fying material he did in the 1980s.” He does
riffs on the difference between going to the
doctor back in the day to a trip to your PCP
or HMO or BMI or any of a bunch of letters
that don’t make you feel better. He talks
about getting AARP discounts while being in
a relationship with a younger woman. And,
of course, there are the jokes. I asked him for
a sample, but you needn’t worry; there are
many more where these came from.
“There is a new auto insurance for ex
New Yorkers living in Florida … it’s called
His Fault!”
“I can’t believe I just became a father; I
adopted a girl from Ukraine … a 24-year-old
fashion model!”
“Remember the iconic movie ‘Twelve
Angry Men’? We’re doing a Florida reboot
called Condo Board.”
“I just got back from New York and a
friend asked me how the trip was. I replied,
‘It was cold. It was nasty … and that’s just
hanging out with my family.’”
For Peter Fogel, this is life today,
“It’s comedy that defines a generation,”
he said.
